45% with no leverage sounds great, but it's essentially a TRY/USD carry trade. Over the past year, TRY has depreciated ~30% against USD. Run the math : 45% APY × (1 − 30% FX loss) ≈ ~1–2% real return. So most of that yield gets eaten by currency depreciation. APY alone is misleading in this case 😄
