The GameSir G8 upgrade changed everything.
Before, it felt like a powerful phone with games on it.
Now it feels like a proper high-end Android handheld I can take anywhere.

I used Codex with voice control today instead of typing.
I don't think I've ever been this productive.
Got more work done than usual and burned through my $100 plan in 3 hours.
Voice works because you stop compressing the task.
You can mumble half an idea, add context left and right, correct yourself mid-sentence, and Codex still gets more signal than it would from a short typed prompt.
Typing makes me under-explain.
Talking gives the agent actual context.
Anyone else working like this yet?

Codex mobile has the right idea, but feels vibecoded…
3 things need to be solid:
speed, state sync, feature parity.
Right now it lags, syncs weirdly, shows things I don't have on Mac, and takes too many taps to open.
I want desktop Codex, mobile-native 1:1 copy

So I decided to turn it into something better 🎮
Most people wrote this phone off already.
Meanwhile, this thing can emulate Nintendo Switch games at 60 FPS.
So with:
• custom launcher software
• developer settings enabled
• a 3D printed grip
• bluetooth controller
…I basically turned it into a handheld gaming beast.
Now I’m replaying childhood classics AND newer titles on a crypto phone everyone forgot about 😂
Start reusing old tech.
A lot of “outdated” devices are still insanely powerful.
