Stephen Fry: “I’m deeply worried by the darkening shadow that’s going over the world, a shadow that we have to call fascism” Laura Kuenssberg: “You would use that word?” Stephen Fry: “Oh absolutely. It’s a cult of power; and power only speaks to power” #bbclaurak

Tory MP James Cartlidge thinks cutting welfare is about “making a resilient nation” by *checks notes* taking benefits away from those with anxiety Cos nothing says resilience like leaving those who can barely leave their house in an even poorer state #bbclaurak

Surprised they’ve invited Madge from Benidorm on #bbclaurak this morning but she does offer greater political insight than that Richard Madeley fella

So he went to another country and just spent the entirety slagging the UK off What a patriot
The Senators and Congressmen I met with in Washington were extremely concerned about the deterioration of Britain, but just as interested in how Reform and @Nigel_Farage would reverse it. Our respective nations face some similar challenges: border security, immigration, law and order, energy, the AI race and the changing geopolitical landscape. We have faced down long odds before, we can do so again.

He's a trillionaire who spends every day on this app trying to start a race war and incite riots. Imagine having all that money and still behaving like an incel living in his mum's basement.

Laughing at innocent people running for their lives while calling them "parasites" because of the colour of their skin just proves that nazis are the biggest cancer to this planet.
Look at the parasites run 🤣

This is the kind of thing that was said about the Jews in the 1930s. It is not hyperbolic to say that degrading an entire culture leads us to a very dark place. Reform are playing with fire right now trying to stop themselves being outflanked by the extremists of Restore.
Some cultures are MUCH better than others.

Big up Ian Wright, Gary Neville, and Roy Keane for calling out what the US is doing to the World Cup. They didn’t shy away and condemned it all, including the decision to ban Omar Artan. Officials have always had freedom of movement, and FIFA guaranteed it.

Just found out that in 2021, the UN tried to declare food a human right, two countries voted against it. The United States and Israel.

And there you have it Misogyny? “So what?”
"So what?" Nigel Farage says when asked about Reform UK's Makerfield candidate's past offensive comments on social media (see list below). "These comments were posted a decade ago. They’ve been taken wildly out of context, but they’re the sort of comments that you won’t necessarily get if you’re an Oxford-educated career politician living in a nice postcode in London," he adds. "But I tell you what, they are the kind of comments you’ll hear in every pub in the country every evening, and we should be unapologetic that Rob is an ordinary bloke who’s carved quite a career for himself, had the guts to set up a business, served as an army reservist, is a patriot, likes his rugby, likes the odd pint, and said a few laddish things on social media 10 years ago. "Do you know what I’d say to that? I’d say, so what?" huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/r…

You voted against scrapping zero hour contracts. You voted against banning fire and rehire. You voted against day one sick pay for workers. You said the minimum wage was too high for young people. Reform politicians openly say they don't like trade unions. You will always put the interests of your offshore crypto billionaire donors ahead of workers.
Reform is now the party of workers. Today I am inviting trade unions to apply for affiliation with Reform UK. We also welcome union leaders to attend our national conference in September and engage in discussions about the policies of a future Reform government.
