The OG Threewave website is back! I've been meaning to build a website celebrating my work over the decades and bringing back to the original. Check it out and see what I've been up to lately. threewave.com/threewave

Early review of All Night Wrong, the second movie I helped produce. The reviewer likes the mash up of rom-com with a noir murder mystery. Hope we get more good reviews like this! We are hoping to have the movie out later this year.
Is it a rom-com? Is it a neo-noir? Is that blood? mashable.com/entertainment/a…

Ouch! For just this reason, we configured crash dumps on Dota 2's Linux servers in their own limited partition. Crashes wouldn't fill the drive, but we still managed to fill it up pushing out too many updates in succession a few times.
Today, we experienced some realm downtime in Path of Exile 2. This was caused by a combination of factors, and we will be making changes in the future to help mitigate these issues: pathofexile.com/forum/view-t…

Oh that's interesting that AMD is making the FPGA that is doing the hardware emulation. I wonder what other emulation it could do.

I'm have a new workshop to do some tinkering and hobbies. It's off-site and I was considering buying a Rivian R1T to haul stuff. But there is a 25% reciprocal tariff on US made EVs in Canada making them very expensive. Argh. Maybe I should check if any used ones are available.

In 1983 my grandmother passed away from breast cancer. I was 13. She left a modest inheritance and my parents asked me what I wanted. I said a gold ring to remember her. I put it on 43 years ago and it's been there ever since. I still miss her.
DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE SOMETHING IN THEIR HOME THAT'S OVER 40 YEARS OLD

My husband and I have been playing games together for 25 years. We are not going to stop now!
Still playing video games after your 25 is a red flag 🚩

The arcade version of Killer Instinct. Graphically amazing at the time. However as players got better at the game the lack of block stun in the design meant higher level play got pretty boring as there were no safe blocked combos.
What’s the first game you think of?

One major reason Ferrari made this car was to offset the emissions generated by their gas cars so their average was under the limit. Otherwise they would start getting massively fined under EU emissions regulations for car manufacturers.
The first all electric Ferrari -- a car Ferrari said they'd never make, likely the most controversial car they've ever made, and a massive bet on new tech and a new market. Explained by its designers: Apple legend Jony Ive and Ferrari Chief Designer Flavio Manzoni. Now on HUGE* Conversations....

I remember the day we got the music from Yamamoto-san in Japan and we crowded around the sound designers desk/studio to listen. When Phendrana Drifts came up we all kind of stared at each other realizing we were hearing one of the most memborable songs of the era for gaming.

Rocket League is an amazing game, but I'm curious how a game set in an enclosed arena with some shiny cars is the best way to show off new gaming engine tech? Very shiny cars?
A new Rocket League is coming, built with Unreal Engine 6.

Destiny 2 will always be remembered as the game that a friend of mine called out "dog bottom" completely seriously while we were battling the Leviathan raid.

The icon design in Destiny was awesome. The icongraphy was so integral to the game and you quickly learned how to view them and understand the game. Except for the raid symbols in Final Shape. Those were not simple and clear.
Not sure if I've posted these but I had the privilege of designing the class icons back in the day. Still lose sleep over rounding the Titan corners 🙃 #Destiny

Defender, the arcade game, is 45 years old this year. I still remember playing it when it came out. I have a dedicated Arcade1Up Defender partycade I still blast through occasionally. It was inducted into the National Museum of Play last year, youtu.be/UREi6meYgts?si=TrhF…

In June 2014 I was living in Bellevue WA in the building directly next to Bungie's offices. A friend of mine working there walked over and handed me a Destiny Alpha disc for my PS4. I've enjoyed the game ever since. All good things must come to an end. Eyes up, Guardian!
Read the full blog at bung.ie/d2_may_21_2026 For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

I got to know Karen as a coworker, friend and neighbor while at Valve. She's an incredibly gifted animator and brings such life to characters. It's great to see an article on her. I do miss seeing what she's working on these days.
We can thank a Jim Henson Company puppeteer for some of Valve's best animation work pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/…

The design of making things unmodifiable is terrible. Just lock the transfiguration. It's such a negative player design.
So another viewer just showed me his latest Weapon Craft in #DiabloIV. Initially he was GIGA hyped about hitting the Double GEM Strength Quality mod until he realized... 🤣 #BrickCity
