We recently said goodbye to two wonderful members of the Box Twenty family, Gryff Parish and Jolie Farid. Gryff joined us as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer and quickly became a valued part of the team, bringing energy and dedication. 🏗️ PROJECT COMPLETION - OMX SCIENCE CREATES 🏗️ 30,000 sq ft. £8.5m. Next to Bristol's Temple Quarter. A new home for the UK's deep tech scale-ups, designed for science to happen at pace. Box Twenty delivered the full Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health engineering from RIBA Stage 2 concept right through to site commissioning and handover. Bespoke lab ventilation, low-carbon services strategy, energy and EPC compliance, and the technical scrutiny needed to make all of it land on site. This is our third Science Creates building, after the St Philips and Old Market incubators, and seeing OMX go from concept renders to first-fix on site to a finished, fully-operational incubator has been one of the most rewarding journeys our team has been on. We got the whole team together for a special anniversary lunch filled with pizzas, chicken, fries, cake, and plenty of laughs along the way. One of the best parts of the day was hearing everyone share their favourite work memories and the things they enjoy most about being part of the team. 🏗️ Project Update: Kinbourne House 🏗️ Fantastic to see progress gathering pace at Kinbourne House, formerly 11–13 Whiteladies Road. Now that site setup has been completed, construction works are officially underway to convert the existing office space into high-quality student accommodation for Urban Student, with delivery by Clever Space Construction. We’re pleased to see the Royal Artillery Museum receive support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the development of its new museum project. This important milestone will support the next stage of proposals, helping to bring forward plans for a new museum and collections facility that will preserve and enhance access to a nationally significant collection. Box Twenty has supported the project at an early stage, undertaking site surveys and utilities assessments to inform the feasibility of the scheme and assist the wider design team in developing initial proposals. Last Thursday, the Box Twenty team had the pleasure of attending the Forum for the Built Environment AGM Dinner, and what a fantastic evening it was.
