The awkward bit where rigor mortis sets in
Utterly unnecessary VAR fourth-wall-breaking

How far is FIFA going with its brand restrictions? The condiments at the Levi’s Stadium press box have all been taped over 😆

Saddened to read of the passing of Dave Chapman, the ex-landlord of the Albion pub in Goldsmiths Row. The Albion was the home to great football memorabilia (mainly #WBA & #Celtic). More so, Dave was a brilliant guy, with so many wonderful stories. Thoughts with his loved ones

Great 2 days at the International Football History Conference in Fulham. Lovely to meet new people & hear informed presentations about so many wide-ranging topics including the Dublin Dons, Gaelic football influences, Ivica Osim, Cold War rivalries so much more. #footycon26

Don't know if this is common knowledge, but the BBC has produced a spoiler-free link to watch World Cup match highlights without knowing the score. Simply go here: bbc.com/nospoilers

FIFA (supposedly) has rules for broadcasters during World Cup hydration breaks. Fox broke them during the very first game, and even missed match action showing commercials... nytimes.com/athletic/7352632…

When did people start talking about World Cup 'editions' rather than 'tournaments'? Horrendous. Sort them out @secondmentions

Never play straight forward out from the back. The player receiving hás no panorama, can't see the threat. It's so basic, but it costs so many goals
