Okay so, I upgraded to Max 20x to use Fable for some complex, long-running tasks. A few hours later, Anthropic shut it down. 🤦🏽‍♂️
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Flutter Devs, always give network images a size. Otherwise they'll push everything below them down once loaded. Fix and edge cases below 👇🏻

Cache = perf win. Skip netwrk calls for data you already have. API responses, images, prefs cache them. But cache everything breaks apps too. Stale data is a silent bug. Always pair caching with invalidation: TTL, version keys, or manual refresh. Cache smart.

Releasing a model this capable comes with risks. Without safeguards, Fable 5’s capabilities in areas like cybersecurity could be misused to cause serious damage. Queries on a narrow range of topics will instead receive a response from our next-most-capable model, Opus 4.8.

Is GoRouter still your go-to routing package for Flutter apps, or have you moved to AutoRoute or something else?

Hot take: Code Push is quietly winning mobile in 2026. Bypassing app store reviews to ship UI updates over the air is a superpower. The best part? You don't have to rebuild your design system in JSON like you do with Server-Driven UI, you just write normal Flutter code. [1/2]

If you're building a Flutter app and still reaching for Node on the backend, at least ask yourself why. Dart Frog, Serverpod e.t.c. are there. No context switching. No type mismatches across the wire. Just Dart, end to end. [1/2]

The full-stack Dart story in 2026 is actually good now🎯 [2/2]

Tired of nested if-else hell when handling API responses in Flutter? Sealed classes fix that. Model your states as Success or Failure, then pattern match cleanly. No guessing. No chaos. start with these two, expand as needed. Your API layer will finally make sense. 🔥

Playing with a concept, and must say that multi-windows support on macOS in Flutter (master channel) got quite solid!

Most Flutter state bugs aren't state bugs. They're architecture bugs in disguise. Wrong layer holding state. No separation of concerns.

Flutter's build() fires way more than you think. Keep it lean.

Dart isolates don't auto-boost your Flutter app's perf. Spawning one for small tasks adds overhead. If your task isn't CPU-heavy, you're just paying the cost for zero gain. Know your workload first.

More tests ≠ fewer bugs. Mocking the wrong layers gives you green checkmarks and production crashes. Coverage is a metric, not a guarantee. Write tests that reflect real user behavior, not just lines hit.

Most devs are using AI coding tools wrong, and it's actually slowing them down. Not because the tools are bad. Because the workflow is broken. Here's what high-output engineers do differently 👇 Let's be clear on what's happening first. [1/18]

If you're a dev and you're not seeing results from your AI tools, the tooling probably isn't the problem. Audit your prompting habits. Audit your context management. Audit how you scope tasks before you open the AI tab. That's where the gains are hiding. [17/18]

Save this thread. RT, Share it with a dev on your team who's been complaining their AI tools aren't helping. It might change how they work this week. [18/18]
