Great to celebrate @CURDSNewcastle’s rich legacy of research, intellectual leadership and policy impact this evening with alumni, collaborators, and current staff 🍾👏🏼🎉 - and all this alongside exciting new research in the making @UniofNewcastle@insights_ne
It's a wrap #RGSIBG24! Mapping taken up, reworked, & sometimes dismissed, in plenary conversations, regular panels, & map room conversations. Thankyou to all staff & attendees for showing us how geography conferences can bring about understanding, provocation, & reconciliation🙏
safe to say, I’m well truly annual conference-d out 🙌 #RGSIBG24
pulling this together w @Stephenlegg11 and many brilliant colleagues @RGS_IBGhe has been quite the organisational adventure.
a daunting professional first — but great fun, and well worth the 14hr days 🤩👏

for a @regstud Policy Expo project with @CURDSNewcastle and many super collaborators from around the world 🤩
dead chuffed to be able to say that I started full time this month as Research Manager at @RGS_IBGhe, stepping into Sarah Evans’ ridiculously talented shoes for a few months as I finish up my PhD 🤗
Amongst other researchy bits and pieces, I’ll be co-organising this year’s Annual Conference. Safe to say it’s proving to be a fiery baptism to (sort of) post-PhD life 🔥 thanks to all those who’ve been so patient and kind (in the inbox irl) whilst I’ve been settling in 🙌
But before that, was delighted to co-organise and co-chair my third (!!) @PGF_RGSIBG Mid-Term in London this week! It was as lovely ever; the research was as amazing as ever; and everyone who joined was as brilliant as ever!
An honour to deliver a keynote lecture at this year’s @PGF_RGSIBG at the Royal Geographical Society - sharing my research on imaginative geographies of migration across BBC Radio 4’s reporting. Thank you to @_LukeG for the invitation and all attendees for an interesting Q&A 📻🌍
