Israel rapes flotilla activists. Ben-Gvir posts the footage himself, smiling. Victims: broken bones, testimonies of sexual violence. US response? Sanctions the organizers of global sumud flotilla If you still believe international law applies equally, you're not paying attention. The mask isn't slipping - it's been ripped off. The only crime that matters is challenging power.

An Israeli unit's "homecoming" party featured a display of their well-documented annihilation of southern Lebanon's villages, met with cheers and laughter from crowds of soldiers, their relatives, and family members. It is a scene impossible to see anywhere but Israel.

Yes, it was called drapetomania, rebranded today as Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) or Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). It is all the pathologization of anyone escaping, critiquing or resisting power relations and oppression.

ICE will be at every match of the world cup harassing street vendors and targeting Black and Brown people. This is what the World Cup brings. This is what the Olympics brings. You can't host these events without inviting the federal government to surveil and cage your people.

Maybe I’m too woke, but I find Drake using Palestine as a gotcha in a rap beef disgusting. It’s a fucking genocide. Entire family lineages are gone. Women, children and men were tortured; some were raped! To me, that’s nasty work.

Israel wants to sue the New York Times over its story on rape against Palestinians. Earlier, Israeli soldiers were caught sexually abusing a Palestinian detainee. Israelis rioted in protest of their arrest. And then their charges were dropped. @prem_thakker broke it down.

Nearly 50,000 people in the Lake Tahoe area have been told that their utility will stop providing power to them, because it's redirecting that power to data centers. NV Energy, the Nevada utility that has supplied most of Lake Tahoe’s electricity for decades, says that next year it will stop servicing homes in the area, and instead direct that electricity to the growing demand from Nevada data centers. Northern Nevada is one of the fastest-growing data-center corridors in the country. fortune.com/2026/05/12/lake-…

NV Energy is ending a wholesale supply contract with Liberty Utilities (the actual retail provider) in May 2027. Liberty is actively seeking replacement power sources and has stated, 'This does not mean the power is shutting off.' sfgate.com/tahoe/article/… calmatters.org/economy/2026/0…

NV Energy is ending a wholesale contract supplying 75% of power to Liberty Utilities' Lake Tahoe customers after May 2027 amid data center demand. Liberty says this does not mean the power is shutting off; it will find new suppliers. sfgate.com/renotahoe/arti… calmatters.org/economy/2026/0…

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opini…

Israel acquitted 5 men who raped a Palestinian man on camera & they returned to service while criminally investigating the military lawyer who leaked the video. The fixation on whether such assault was “ordered” is a distraction from structure of domination feat sexual violence.
