#WATCH | Delhi: On participating in the ‘Youth for Viksit Bharat-MY Bharat Youth Convention’, BJP MLA Maithili Thakur says, “It all began when the Prime Minister called for bringing one lakh young people—who had no prior political background—into the fold of politics. Today, I stand before you with great confidence as one of those one lakh young leaders; this is a matter of immense pride for both my family and me. I view the Prime Minister not merely as the head of government, but as a guardian to millions of us youth—someone who truly understands our potential. He listens to us… We feel incredibly motivated when the country's Prime Minister himself pushes and encourages the youth in this manner…”
#WATCH | Delhi: On participating in the ‘Youth for Viksit Bharat-MY Bharat Youth Convention’, Indian athlete Gurindervir Singh says, “It is a huge moment of pride for us. We are getting the opportunity to step onto such a massive stage. The whole country had expectations of us; we trained hard, put in the effort, and received immense support and facilities from the government and the Sports Authority. Delivering this moment of pride makes it all worthwhile. I am overjoyed about it… The last two weeks—following my record-breaking performance—have been the best moments for me; it was a huge surprise. Speaking with PM Modi was completely unexpected; it was a massive surprise—truly incredible. It became the biggest moment of my life—a huge milestone for my family as well…”
#WATCH | Delhi: On participating in the ‘Youth for Viksit Bharat-MY Bharat Youth Convention’, Indian cricketer Jitesh Sharma says, “It always feels good when the topic is youth; seeing your fellow players progress brings great joy. I feel very proud to have been invited here for this. I want to say that I am a huge fan of PM Modi. The way he—as Prime Minister—is so deeply involved in sports and offers such immense support is remarkable; he stays informed about every player and every victory, offering encouragement and even tweeting about them. When India lost the 2023 World Cup, he personally visited the dressing room and motivated the team… If you ask me seriously, it is a huge achievement because winning back-to-back trophies is very rare. Yet, the hard work behind it—specifically that of the administration—often goes unacknowledged, as the focus usually remains on the players…”
#WATCH | Delhi: On participating in the ‘Youth for Viksit Bharat-MY Bharat Youth Convention’, Indian hockey player Rajinder Singh says, “It is a unique feeling. For any athlete receiving an award, it is a truly great feeling—a source of immense happiness...I think it is essential. The way PM Modi and the various ministries support us—especially sportspersons—is remarkable. Our job is to play, but the support we receive doubles our confidence. When we step onto the field, or look forward to the next competition or a potential victory, the knowledge that we will be felicitated or receive an award really encourages us.”
What a journey. What a celebration. 🎊

VIDEO | Delhi: After attending Viksit Bharat Youth Convention, Actor Vikrant Massey says, “Prime Minister Modi Ji has been saying this, and the Government of India has also been emphasising it for many years. In one way or another, all of us have been saying the same thing. We all know that India is the youngest nation in the world. There are many responsibilities on all of us. I was part of this programme along with the Minister of Youth Affairs, Mansukh Mandaviya Ji. He shared many initiatives being undertaken for the youth. We can all see the changes that have taken place in sports, especially in terms of sports infrastructure over the past few years. Today, Jitesh Sharma Ji also mentioned on stage that the time has passed when an aspiring athlete had to leave their village and move to a big city for training and exposure. That is no longer the case. Today, whether it is the Olympics, the Asian Games, or the Commonwealth Games, we are winning medals. We are seeing our capabilities grow at the global level.”
