Chelsea, in particular, have been pleading with Morgan to showcase their plan for him, but as of today, the response is "Arsenal." When you’re big, you’re big.
Morgan Rogers Update • Morgan Rogers has given preference to joining the English champions. Other clubs are still actively in the race but acknowledge the player's current preference. • Morgan Rogers has respectfully communicated his desire to leave to senior figures at Villa (significant). • Personal terms have been explored and are not a hindrance at all. • Morgan Rogers is sold on the Mikel Arteta project and plan for him. • Morgan Rogers was on the shortlist of attacking reinforcements Arsenal discussed last summer. • My understanding is that Villa and Arsenal are in contact through unofficial channels regarding any potential deal. Remember my words: the fee is key to this deal. The player is fully on board. • Andrea Berta has asked to be kept fully informed about any other club making a move for Morgan. If Arsenal do make a move, there will be another update. Chelsea, in particular, have been pleading with Morgan to showcase their plan for him, but as of today, the response is "Arsenal." Manchester United have also explored the situation of Morgan, with Carrick being a big fan. Bradley Barcola and one other player are also of interest to Arsenal. Details on that in due time. Arsenal are also in direct contact with multiple midfielders, as recently as a few days ago. The likes of Bouaddi, Scott, Kone, Larsson, and two others. As I mentioned yesterday, we are yet to make contact with any club officially while Berta explores personal terms with all of them. One of these players is convinced he is joining Arsenal. It's important to remember that Livramento also felt the same way, but it highlights how strong the conversations are. Arsenal are also monitoring the Madrid midfielder situation. Tonali was offered to us in January; talks have never surpassed personal terms as of today. These clubs are using Elliot Anderson's deal as a market scale. Newcastle want crazy money, as do Palace for Wharton. Personally, I hope its Ayyoub Bouaddi we accelerate a move for! Taking a very short holiday. I'll be back! Kylian Mbappe is who he thinks he is! Barely a few seconds after calming his team mates after Ibrahim Mbaye's goal and Coach Didier Deschamps reaction, he goes on to score what will arguably rank among the best at this World Cup. Greatness continues to reveal itself to us.

Mauricio Pochettino said that ‘American sports reward losers’ when asked about the style of play in top European nations vs. in the U.S. 😯🇺🇸 QUESTION: “We know how England, France, Spain play… Players from countries with a strong tradition have a recognizable style. What is the style of the US team? What kind of football do the Americans want to play?” ANSWER: “Their culture is playful. They want to play. We told them, “Guys, playing soccer is one thing, competing is another.” They’re two completely different sports. They grow up in a culture of playing. Why? If you start in MLS and you haven’t won a game in three months and you’re at the bottom, what’s the consequence if there’s no promotion or relegation, no international competition? American sports reward losers! But soccer is different: if you reward those who don’t win… If you don’t have goals, you don’t fight. If I lose, what happens? Nothing. They just fire the coach. Also, the American player is disciplined. But with a sense of complacency that isn’t good in soccer. It took us a year and a half to change that mentality.” [EL PAIS]

I can never look at a married man and feel a single tinge of jealousy or envy. Ever.
How does it feel as a guy when you are the last unmarried person in your friend group?

🇳🇬🇿🇦 "I'm a legal immigrant. I have spent over 13 years building a business in South Africa, creating jobs and training more than 20 South Africans. I pay my dues and have all the necessary documents. If the government asks me to leave, I will. But I won't be driven out by threats or mob pressure. Ironically, many of those demanding that immigrants leave are unwilling or unable to take over the businesses and responsibilities they want us to abandon." — Nigerian businessman in South Africa
🇿🇦 Xenophobic South African Mobs Have Threatened to Unleash Violence Against Both Documented and Undocumented Black Immigrants, Demanding That They Leave the Country on or Before 30th June.

This is a legal immigrant, running a business for 13 years, and employing over 30 South Africans. Listen to how he's being harassed, if you check those harassing him, they are lazy and jobless. They said they don't even care about the South African workers there. We already know all of these fight against "illegal immigration" is a mask of jealousy and hatred for people doing well. My advice to this man is to leave, these guys can ki!l him at any chance. They ki!led their legend Lucky Dube, they ki!led AKA, they can ki!l him in a heartbeat without any remorse. That's who they are, ki!lers.
He says he is waiting for direction from the government. He considers himself a law-abiding citizen who pays taxes and creates jobs for locals, so he is not leaving the country before 30 June.”

The lawlessness of black South Africans will one day be used to justify, support and fund separatist movements in South Africa. That narrative is already being developed in parts of the West: “save the whites from genocidal black savages.” It is a dangerous, racist framing, but fools are handing that narrative ammunition every single day. The difference this time is that Africa may not be as sympathetic or forgiving towards South Africa as some people imagine. That day may come within our lifetime. Mark my words. These people are so poorly educated and politically short sighted that they cannot even envisage such an outcome, let alone understand how their behaviour could be weaponised against them. But the cloud is forming, and it will rain at some point!
