It’s fine to run zone *some* in any AAU game 14U and older. Any younger you’re stunting development and avoiding teaching general principles. Frequency going too high in older age groups can hide a kids individual ability but physical tools and engagement level should still show

Spurs just ran zone on the Thunder in OT and won the game but AAU coaches are ruining kids by playing zone? HS basketball just desperately needs new evaluators. They don’t want to do the work of scouting through a zone. That’s an evaluator problem not a defense problem

Love what Owen Etauti Edwards has showed to start session 2. Thought he was one of the smartest players in the 28 class last summer and playing with a high level off ball scorer like JJ Crawford compliments his game so well
