Five-thousand-word big board coming out Wednesday at noon. Not a single word of it is AI-generated; not a single word behind a paywall. Very, very excited to hear your thoughts.

My @thehwcollectlve debut: No Start. No Now. No Future? Game Over? Brandon Boston Jr., Sharife Cooper, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Dalen Terry, and Jarred Vanderbilt have shared promising, imperfect career beginnings. How much can be expected moving forward? Star-impact outcomes?

Wrote my typical Top-20 prospects of the years that I’ve been scouting the draft article. Now up to 11 years. The 2026 NBA Draft does not have one of my top-5 prospects. But it is the only draft to have 4 players within the top-20. (Free to read link!) nytimes.com/athletic/7339668…

Honestly, super interesting that’s the way he perceives himself — more akin to a Steph additive or alternative than a Jimmy/Draymond-esque hustle, smart decisions, elite defensive piece. Cool stuff.
“Secondary ball handler. Whenever Steph is getting taken out the game, I'll be there to assist, you know, maybe provide a little bit more offense or instant offense in a way.” Yaxel Lendeborg on where he thinks he can make the biggest impact from day one as a rookie

Brayden Burries: what is he exactly good at? [THREAD] 🧵 Arizona's Brayden Burries posted outstanding counting stats as a (really old) freshman at one of the best teams in the country and played himself into the lottery in the 2026 NBA draft he seems to be a bit of a jack-of-all-trades type of player with a somewhat tricky archetype, so how exactly does he stand out at the next level? let's take a deeper look 👇

Thank you to Adam for having me back! Happy to make a case for Allen Graves to practically any team.
New: As the 2026 NBA Draft nears, I'll be talking to scouting experts about the prospects they believe the Sixers should target at No. 22 overall. Leading off: @LoganPAdams makes the case for Santa Clara's Allen Graves, defensive playmaker extraordinaire: phillyvoice.com/sixers-news-…

Looking at the profile and the standout stuff is he had 70 dunks and an 82.9% FTr, while being a good offensive rebounder. …buuuut ▫️6’8” center ▫️53.6% TS ▫️8.0% AST ▫️0 3P, 35.5% on non-rim 2s ▫️48.7% FT ▫️13.6% DREB You take this guy in the second and his career shows why.
How the hell did Tristan Thompson go fourth?

Go back and look at 2024-25 Rutgers’ BPM. Harper had the next best guy on that team more than doubled up. Being objectively good and impactful shines regardless of situation. It’s why I’ll be very high on guys like Allen Graves, Dailyn Swain and Bruce Thornton.

Keaton Wagler's going to be such an interesting case study to follow as an offensive player. Zero dunks has been the headline, but for a lead guard, he laps his peers in FTr and OREB%. Could find himself in a weird middle-ground where he's not enough of a playmaker to be a lead guard, but a bad defender on the wing. But has so much impact as a shot-maker and possession-maximizer on offense that it doesn't really matter, and you just have to put him out there. Don't think it all depends on the shooting being elite, but still think the shooting could be elite. Would certainly help. Lottery guy, as I see it, but 100% tentative on that. Can't think conventionally about unconventional guys.

Purchased the @NoCeilingsNBA draft guide (super affordable, still used Klarna) and am loving it so far. They lay out the reason Nate Ament won't be in my first round pretty clearly here. These strengths and weaknesses don't align; in fact, they contradict each other. Shooting potential as a strength, but efficiency as a weakness, indicates a way to go as a shooter – true with Ament. The issue comes in the second bullet in "Pros" contrasted with the first in the third in "Cons." Athleticism and strength mean more than positional size. If you are tall on paper, it means little if you are small in practice. If you're small in practice and NOT an elite shooter or passer (passing is listed as a strength, I tend to disagree), minutes will be hard to come by.

Kind of a *taps the sign* moment for me. x.com/LoganPAdams/status/194…

Anytime you see a big wing that’s unsigned, the numbers you absolutely need to look at are… Dunks OREB% STL% BLK% Rim Contest FG% Diff. Houstan has zero dunks, a OREB% <3, a STL% <1.5, a BLK% <1, and opponents shot 7.7% better against him at the rim. He’s essentially 6’2”.

Would also look at AST/TO for these types of players. Either they need to leverage a lack of athleticism and perimeter-centric game with massive playmaking value or they need to just never turn the ball over.
