Did you know that STEM gender stereotypes start as early as the age of 5?
That means before young girls even reach high school, where they can take up subjects like IT, chemistry, or math, they are being told that those interests aren't for them; that they are 'boys' subjects.

As young girls progress through school, the numbers don't improve. Only 21% aspire to have a career in STEM, and the same percentage is seen in university enrollments for IT courses.
When we get to our Australian workforce, only 17% of cyber security professionals are women.
