You know what most Americans are asking for right now?
Not special treatment. Not handouts. Not empty promises.
They’re asking for a fair shot. A chance to work hard, build a life, raise a family, and know that if they do everything right, they can still get ahead.
That’s what a strong floor and no ceiling means.
A strong floor means no one goes bankrupt because they get sick. No child goes hungry. No senior has to choose between medication and groceries. No veteran is forgotten after serving our country.
And no ceiling means we never put limits on ambition. We should be helping people start businesses, buy homes, create jobs, build wealth, and pursue their dreams. We should be investing in education, innovation, and the next generation of American success stories.
It’s an idea that has inspired leaders, thinkers, and writers for generations, and it’s a theme explored in my book as well: how we can build a society that provides security, opportunity, and the freedom to reach our full potential.
The American Dream was never meant to be about surviving. It was meant to be about thriving.
Everyone deserves a foundation to stand on, and everyone deserves the opportunity to rise as high as their talent, determination, and hard work can take them.
That’s the kind of America I am working towards.
