🚀 Calling all
#universities! 🎓
🛰️ ESA is seeking three universities from ESA Member States to participate with their
#students in the sixth ESA Academy’s Concurrent Engineering Challenge in 2025. 🛰️
🌍 Organized by the ESA Education Office in collaboration with ESA’s ‘Space Segment’ and ‘Future Engineering’ Divisions of the Systems Department in the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality, this five-day event will involve designing a space mission using the Concurrent Engineering approach. ✨
🔧 What is
#ConcurrentEngineering? Concurrent Engineering is a collaborative approach to product development that ensures all subsystems are designed simultaneously, reducing design time and cost. 👩💻
👩🎓 Students will work in groups to design a space mission in five days, covering disciplines like power, mechanisms and structures, propulsion, and more. Each group will be supervised by top-notch systems engineers. 🛰️💫
💡 The 2025 Challenge will also integrate Cost Engineering, requiring students to estimate and manage the costs of their subsystems and overall mission, balancing technical and financial constraints. 📚📊✨
🌠 This is a unique chance to innovate and collaborate. Find out more:
