Idk why they cooking him when he’s right.
Halo was only huge because of the jump on to consoles with heavier emphasis on cinematic storytelling and set pieces.
HL1, Quake, System Shock, AvP, Blood, Quake 2, Unreal, Serious Sam and countless others were already amazing FPS before Halo.
If you had a PC in the 2000s you had a better FPSs by far.
Halo was the shooter you played if you didn't have a PC to play better shooters. Weird to see so many people act like it was more than that.

But why would you run past the combat encounters of an FPS?
The devs stated they weren't lengthening the environment, just widening it to accommodate 4 players. Sprint still negatively impacts the gameplay as you can just run past enemy encounters like a retard.

A number of people have raised questions or concerns to us about whether assets in our marketing and game use generative AI.
We have a dedicated team of over a dozen talented and experienced artists. With them, we looked into the assets in question and found that there were indeed some early versions of assets that made their way into the the prologue. This includes some in-game portraits and external marketing assets.
