Madison and I were able to represent NY in the First ever Young People’s Continental Congress! Student/teacher delegates from the 13 original colonies met to commemorate the First Continental Congress held in 1774. Each day this week, we explored historical sites in Philadelphia!

#OTD in #history, 1944—#DDay—Allied air, sea & land forces stormed the beaches of #Normandy. The invasion was on 5 beach heads, led by the #USA's Gen. Eisenhower. On the battle's eve, he predicted: “The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to Victory!”
