A little late sharing this, but it matters. Since being elected in Nov 2025, I’ve spent time across Chilliwack–Cultus Lake listening, learning, and meeting with community. Grateful for your trust. There’s more work ahead, and I’m committed to continuing it alongside you. #ChilliwackCultusLake #BCPoli #StrongerTogether

The death of a thousand cuts, brought on by this NDP government, is killing our small businesses. BC doesn’t feel like a place where you can start a business, grow a business, and get ahead. I talked to @cfax1070 about the youth jobs crisis and how to turn it around. #bcpoli

Congratulations to @kerrylynnefindl on her victory of the @bcconservative leadership race. I want to thank all of the candidates and teams for their immense effort over the past 5 months building our party to where it is today. I have had the honour of serving alongside @trevHal, and I want to express my gratitude for his hard work and sacrifice to our party over the course of the leadership race. To my constituents and British Columbians, we will continue fighting for the hope that this NDP government has taken away, every single day. The real work starts today.

The NDP found money for 26% superintendent raises and car allowances. It hasn't found a way to put an EA in every K-3 classroom after years of promises. The BC Federation of Teachers calls the NDP's budget a "maintenance budget." They're right.

The NDP promised an educational assistant in every K-3 classroom. Instead, some districts have been forced to let EAs go instead of hiring them. The Minister of Education looked us in the eye and said go talk to your school board. The NDP made that promise. Not the school districts. They can't blame their way out of it.

Five credit downgrades. A $13.3 billion deficit. And now the Finance Minister wants you to believe the NDP’s fiscal plan somehow puts us on a path to a balanced budget? I don’t buy it. The credit rating agencies don’t buy it. And British Columbians don’t buy it either.

NEW (1/2) - The UDI, BC Business Council, BCREA, ICBA, LandlordBC, HAVAN, BC Construction Assoc. and CanadianHome Builders have sent a joint letter to Minister Boyle demanding GST rebate parity with Ontario. 7 weeks of silence and they've had enough. #bcpoli #cdnpoli #vanre

I asked Premier Eby one simple question: will you support a pipeline that means real jobs for British Columbians? He was clear. He doesn't support it. This project benefits B.C. and Canada. And the Prime Minister and Premier of Alberta are already moving on it without him. Eby and the NDP have made themselves irrelevant. Get to the table or get out of the way. #bcpoli

I hope NDP MLAs are proud tonight as they dismantle their own party’s FOI legacy. Here’s Mike Hartcourt in 1991: “We will bring in a freedom-of-information law, not an access-to-information law. I think that shows the difference between the New Democratic Party and the Social Credit government. They talk about access, and it’s almost a grudging word: we may give ‘access’ to citizens. We believe in freedom of information. It’s your information, the citizens’ information. It’s not our information.” Carole James in 2008: “We’ve seen freedom-of-information laws ignored and disdained by this Premier. We see new bureaucracies created with no oversight, little public accountability.” John Horgan in 2015: “I think all British Columbians should be concerned when their government hides things from them.” “The whole point of having access to information is so we can all make reasonable judgments about the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of our political leadership.” David Eby in 2026: ~shuts down debate to kill FOI at 3:41AM~

The BC NDP are ramming through Bill 9 to weaken your ability to access your own information. It’s not Government’s information.. It belongs to British Columbians. Opposition members debated hard until 3AM tonight. @mikefarnworthbc invoked closure on all amendments and closure on 2nd reading. We just voted several times, and they managed to push the Bill through to Committee Stage (the last vote now at 3:40AM). The NDP is pushing forward a Bill that will keep the public in the dark. This is democracy in the dark. The most secretive government in Canada is continuing to earn its stripes.

BC NDP forcing closure and pushing through second reading of the terrible FOI Bill 9 at 330am is pretty on brand. We can just call them the NP going forward.

The Conservative Caucus of B.C. unequivocally opposes the NDP’s Bill 9, legislation that further restricts the public’s right to access information and weakens government transparency. This government continues to dodge accountability, shut down scrutiny, and concentrate more power in its own hands. That is why we introduced a hoist motion to suspend this bill for six months to allow for greater consultation. If the NDP wants to force this through the Legislature in the dark, we are prepared to debate it through the night and beyond. We will continue fighting for the people of British Columbia day in and day out.

These are neighborhoods where children play, and this incident occurred in broad daylight. How can such a thing happen? This shocking event underscores the urgent need for our local gang enforcement team to be active in our communities. Due to staffing shortages, the gang unit in Surrey has been dismantled, leaving us vulnerable. David Eby and the NDP are failing to fulfill their responsibility to ensure that Surrey receives adequate and effective policing.
Developing: Fatal shooting in Surrey’s Newton area at the corner of 148 St & 68A Ave. The area is cordoned off with a heavy police presence. SPS have confirmed shots were fired. Witnesses say the victim’s vehicle was being chased, & shots were fired as it pulled into a driveway. The suspect vehicle fled the scene. More to come.

Our privilege as members does not protect us from being called out for ignorant and abhorrent statements like the ones made by Tara Armstrong today. There are many ways to make your point without using horrible comparisons that minimize the tragedy of the Holocaust. British Columbians expect – and deserve – more from their elected representatives. What she said was offensive and unbecoming of a member of our legislative assembly. She needs to apologize to the Jewish community and all British Columbians.

Today, I had the honour of accepting a petition from the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. The petition urges the government to scrap Bill 9, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Amendment Act, 2026, which threatens to undermine transparency and accountability in British Columbia. Thousands of British Columbians have made their voices heard, and we will be taking this important stand for democracy and transparency to the Legislative Assembly.
