Judging by what Iran and Vice President Vance are saying this morning, it doesn't seem this MOU even resolves the Strait of Hormuz issue.

Trump: The Strait of Hormuz will be "permanently toll free." Fars: After the 60-day period, Iran "intends to benefit financially from commercial shipping traffic through the Strait." cnn.com/2026/06/15/world/liv…

Vance was notably less forthright this morning than Trump about the Strait of Hormuz being reopened "toll free" immediately. The VP suggested the nature of the Strait's reopening will be part of the 60-day technical talks that begin once the MOU is signed "Well, our expectation is that the Strait is going to be opened in a toll free way for the long term. And that's the sort of thing that we're going to figure out in these technical negotiations," he told CNBC

It's basically a flashback to the ceasefire. The two sides say there is an agreement. But we don't have the text. And the two sides are saying wildly different things about what's in it.

I seem to remember a few people on here wondering why musical acts would drop out of an event that was just celebrating America, after all.
The President of the United States announces that the gathering on the National Mall on July 4 will be a "TRUMP RALLY."

When the ceasefire was announced, Iran and Pakistan said it included Lebanon. But the fighting there continued. Today, Pakistan's PM again cites the "termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon." But now Israel says it's staying in southern Lebanon.

The concern is clearly growing among the Iran hawks.
I have asked for days, why can't we, the people, see the damn MOU?  Not through people briefed by an anonymous person.  Honestly, I've never seen anything like this.  If it is a great outcome for peace, then release it.

This feels … quite passive-aggressive?
I am pleased to hear the memorandum of understanding with Iran to allow the Strait of Hormuz to open has been agreed to. I will be watching closely the ensuing negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program and other matters. I am somewhat concerned that Iran’s view of the agreement seems different than what the American negotiating team is claiming. Under our law, any nuclear deal with Iran will be sent to Congress for review and a vote. I look forward to reviewing the final product and I believe it is imperative that the architect of the deal, Vice President Vance and his negotiating partners, be part of the process in presenting the final deal to Congress. Congratulations to all in getting us to this point. Time will tell.

Trump also previously said he wouldn’t sign any other legislation until the SAVE Act passed. He tends to just say stuff like this.
News: Trump says he’s against reauthorizing FISA, which has lapsed, unless Congress attaches SAVE America Act to it, which won’t happen.

Me early this month: “… Any situation in which [Trump’s] government would be forced to remove his name from the building would be an indelible — and telling — image.” They waited until the middle of the night and then covered it up.

I choose to believe that there being both a "Snyder of Berlin" and "Snyder's of Hanover" traces to a blood feud inside a family that was bent on making snacks in a German-sounding city.
Everyone always talking about “talent density” in Silicon Valley when we really should be talking about how 80% of pretzels in America come from a small region of Pennsylvania

Trump hit pause after being warned it would likely prompt severe Iranian retaliation, extending the war and plunging the global economy into further turmoil, the sources said. But the high-level and pressing nature of the briefings underscores how close the Trump administration came to greenlighting the high-risk ground operation, sources said. cnn.com/2026/06/12/politics/…
