Fire this morning at Public School #8 in Jacksonville. It first opened in 1909 as the Graded Springfield School and was closed in 2013 due to its age. Here's some before and after.

Got woken up last night to a lot of gunfire here in downtown South Bend. With the increasing gun violence along with the ever-growing homeless population here, I can't wait to move out of this place.

Apparently these Tik Tok stars (of course) got into an abandoned mall in Michigan and just vandalized the shit out of it. That's enough to piss me off, but the sheer arrogance and obnoxious way these people present themselves lacks any dignity. youtu.be/oSO0NnQwkKk?t=114

The church at the former Belle Glade Correctional Institution burned down last night, although the cause is unknown at this time. This comes after another fire damaged the church in 2017, intentionally set by 4 people who were on camera fleeing the scene.
🔥Commercial Structure Fire 🔥 Images from overnight Fire in Belle Glade. @PBCFR #firefighters found a fully engulfed abandoned building when they arrived at the scene on Orange Avenue Circle.

The Palace Theater in downtown Gary, Indiana, designed by renowned architect John Eberson. Once considered the grandest venue in the city is now a symbol of urban decay and blight.

I never understood how someone is deemed "innocent until proven guilty" while they're sent off to jail to be treated as if they're guilty.

Trump hasn't tweeted in 18 hours. He must be having a mental breakdown.

If this past month has taught us anything, it's that the "Don't tread on me" folk really don't mind being treaded upon.

Still thinking about how people were like “not all cops!” then literally all cops in Buffalo were like “no, it’s all of us”

In 2017, there were protests for the removal of Confederate statues across the US. Nothing happened. 2020, it took less than a week to have many removed with more soon to follow.

Police have now arrested over 9,300 people during 8 days of protests against racism and police brutality, reports @AP. They have not arrested/charged 3 of 4 officers involved in the police killing of #GeorgeFloyd, or any for the killing of #BreonnaTaylor.

Cops are geared while nurses and drs struggle to find any. They couldn't impose a curfew for COVID but do so for protests. They're calling the National Guard but not when the COVID death toll is 100k . They don't care about us, they care about money.

Manslaughter is a slap on the wrist. Theoretically he's looking at 1-8 years in prison, but realistically he'll probably serve less than that, if any. These charges are to quell the riots, nothing more. This isn't justice.

Lawyers need 7 years of university to practice and know the law. Police officers spend 8 weeks at an academy and are given a gun and badge to enforce the law. definitely a disconnect there
