On finit par créer un vrai impact. ——— Last night, I had the honor of hosting the artistic evening of the Toronto Book Fair with CBC/Radio-Canada and Université de l'Ontario français. As I looked at the room, I remembered where I started. Influence is not about the microphone. It is about the ability to bring people together and elevate others. You start small. C’était ma première fois à Sarnia. Invité pour une performance dans le cadre du Mois de l’Histoire des Noir.e.s, je ne savais pas à quoi m’attendre. Nouvelle ville. Nouvelle salle. Nouveau public. Et puis après le spectacle, des gens que je n’avais jamais rencontrés sont venus me voir. « On te suit depuis longtemps. Tu nous inspires. » Je n’en avais aucune idée. On ne voit pas toujours l’impact de ce qu’on construit. On doute. On avance. On recommence. Mais quelque part, quelqu’un regarde. Quelqu’un trouve du courage dans ton parcours. Alors continue. Même quand tu as l’impression de partir de rien. Même quand tu ne vois pas les résultats. ✔️On peut commencer petit et viser grand. ———
