RIP Morton Abramowitz—a man of extraordinary character and champion of justice and humanity. As US Ambassador to Turkey, his pivotal role in creating the 1991 safe haven to protect Iraqi Kurds from genocide saved countless lives. His legacy of moral courage will endure.
