This is bad news for the vulnerable people whose lives will be put at risk if this bill were to pass. (But it’s also bad news for the Labour Party - pretty unbelievable some MPs want to bring it back).
NEW: The Assisted Dying Bill is returning to Parliament this week.
Labour MP Lauren Edwards will reintroduce it on Wednesday after coming 2nd in the private members’ ballot.
“The process has been frustrated by a small minority”, she argues.

It would be nice, wouldn't it, to go online, open up a paper or turn on the TV for one day in the UK, and not see some talking head attack #disabled people for needing #SocialSecurity that is their basic human right, and demanding cuts. It would be a decent society to wake up in.

The replies I'm seeing to posts talking about welfare cuts has opened my eyes to just how many have absolutely NO idea how welfare works, what it is for, or what people have to go through to get any form of disability benefit. It's quite shocking.

Sad watching people arguing over what should be cut pip or state pension.
There's poor disabled people and poor pensioners neither deserve cuts.
People should be standing together against cuts and asking why they should fund wars and weapons.

In 1984, #Unemployment #Benefit was £26.80 a week.
Allowing for inflation, that's £111.75 today
Universal Credit is:
£424.90 a month
~£98.05 a week for people aged 25 & over
& just
£338.58 a month
~£78.13 a week for under 25s
