Truly humbled to have the support of so many of our first responders β especially our FDNY and EMS workers. When others run out, they run in β no questions asked. I will always fight to make sure this city does right by them for the sacrifices they make.

Just spoke with NYCEM and have confirmed the city is now moving the migrants out of PS 188 in Coney Island. Plan is to no longer use this site for temporary shelter. Will share more verified info as I receive. Our schools should not be used for this purpose.

I spent the morning with colleagues, educators, and leaders at @UFT to discuss how we can work together to build up community schools.
With contract negotiations coming up, teachers donβt just need our appreciation. They need to get paid.
