Lucky to have the opportunity to write this piece with formal @JHospMedicine Editorial Fellow @adsumarsono.
Enjoyed unpacking this study and thinking of ways we can improve discharges to SNFs
Is this patient a good candidate for a skilled nursing facility (SNF)?
@adsumarsono and @wraycharles argue for a multidisciplinary committee to weigh the implications of the decision including:

So many issues with this piece in @JAMAInternalMed from @US_FDA officials (Dunn, Stein, & Cavazzoni) attempting to justify their poor choice in approving #aducanumab - don't bother reading it unless you want your blood to boil. I'll summarize instead: jamanetwork.com/journals/jam⦠1/
Thankful & excited to begin my #MPH at the @HarvardChanSPH today! Great time meeting new classmates, seeing familiar faces & names (@DrHussainL@lfbpharmd @kandicekapinos), and getting pumped to go back to the (virtual) classroom.

Multi factorial barriers to research productivity:
- time
- mentorship
- infrastructure
- stats support
- local research expertise
- ease of data access
- cultural inertia
- disparate opportunities
- and many more
Where can we go next?
- emulate career development pathways modeled by more research oriented specialties
- build accessible databases for 2ndary research
- network & collaborate so we can all win together
- modify promotion paths for clinically HM faculty
'Active" or "Prolific" don't begin to describe Dr. @ambarish4786! Recently, in collaboration with @MattSegar, DuWayne Willet, MD - and others from @ClevelandClinic and @UMMCnews they won the NHLBI Big Data Analysis Challenge for heart failure research.
