“Lens is for girls” is how we think about product. This came about organically, Lens has many women in leadership positions who have grown up as women on the internet, understanding the pay disparities, being more prone to online and sexual harassment, pressure to conform and body shaming, content judgment, fewer opportunities, and the list goes on.
We think about these issues when we want to build a better social network where people can truly own their content and relationships, control their feeds, and block onchain across an entire network. We won’t stop until we create a better, healthier, and more fun internet.
Too long have social platforms built their entire culture and popularity on the backs of minorities and women, without sharing the value back to them. It’s time to break the chain. ⛓️💥
