Just got to experience this UX for the first time and it was awesome. I was about to ask the cashier if I could pay in bitcoin but then I noticed the little toggle in the top left corner and switched it to a bitcoin invoice myself. Stealthy bitcoin payments hit different.

Why did Silvergate Bank fail? I took a look into the failure of Silvergate Bank after coming across a line of argument, primarily in the cryptocurrency community, that Silvergate was forced into voluntary liquidation on March 8, 2023. That Silvergate was forced into liquidation isn’t interesting. It obviously was. It had survived a run on 70 percent of its deposits, which started with the FTX bankruptcy in November 2022. Yet two months later, on analyst calls, there was no talk of liquidation. And they were still sitting on a core piece of the crypto market’s infrastructure — the SEN network. The only reason they would have liquidated, in other words, is if they were strong armed into doing so. And that’s what happened. I just didn’t know how. Now I do, as I’ll share tomorrow (it’s late).
