And let’s not forget, this wasn’t a partisan fight. This was a Republican Party that had the votes to pass whatever they wanted but couldn’t get their act together for nearly three years. Time for a change in the GA!
If NC lawmakers hit their target and wrap up budget votes next week, it's possible they'll snap a 1,000-day streak without passing a comprehensive budget. Last time a comprehensive budget was passed was September 22, 2023. Next Thursday would be the 1K-day mark. #ncpol
