Another result of the Aussie government stuffing things up. It's peak tourist time in the north. Normally you need to book about a year ahead to get into a caravan park. Cousin driving up to Darwin at the moment mentions some parks are closed for lack of bookings, and Broome they could just turn up without a booking.
