14 years old, gay, HIV-positive, and open about it in the midst of a crisis that ignited fear and fed homophobia. Worth the seven-minute watch.
In the center of the NYC ballroom scene of the '80s and '90s, Luna Luis Ortiz decided his HIV status didn't have to be a shameful secret — now he's using it to inform, inspire, and empower others

Every morning @mattgallowaycbc reports on “your Raptors” and his language always makes me think about how it influences this city’s sense of ownership. I wonder if any libraries talk about themselves this way? Are students being introduced to “your library”?

I rarely owned books as a child, instead I went to my local library. It was there that I developed my love of reading, & later writing. It makes me sad that children might grow up never having a local library. All libraries need to be saved. When they go, they go forever.

Bourdain possessed an intriguing, alluring blend of hard-earned talent, an iron-like grip on language, a gift for story telling, and unvarnished, gritty street smarts. Loved when his Kitchen Confidential regularly sent me to a dictionary. Happily revisiting this. 🙏🏻 @NewYorker

I loves me a good wander through a bookstore, but this warms my reading heart. Just the idea of SO many books so close at hand on the journey. @torontolibrary
Check out our digital kiosk in the new Union Station food court. Download eBooks and audiobooks with your library card and the Overdrive app. It’s your library – on the go!

Most times I visit my local branch, in the same way a quick trip for milk turns into an entire order, I walk out with more than I anticipated. @torontolibrary

Write “Do epic s***” in your calendar for 2019 please, @jen_keesmaat @lanrick2018. In ink, not pencil, if you don’t mind. Your sensibilities and vision matter.

Walked to the voting centre, made sure my voice counted and that I had a say in things like affordable housing, transit and green spaces for our city. 15 mins. Tops. Go do some epic s*** @jen_keesmaat @lanrick2018
