As a long time Construct users I couldn't be more excited about this. 3D has always been a pipedream for me but now it's starting to look achievable!
New blog post: Introducing Construct's official 3D model object! It's a major new feature and a big moment for Construct as we are now developing 3D features. Read up on what's new, how 3D model support was implemented, why we are building our own engine, and what else is on the way 👇

I stopped sharing my work on X because the games I'm making now don't resonate well with the audience here. But here's the funny part... games that did resonate were performing horribly.

I declare myself mortal enemy to all those Avatar World content creators on YT making videos about pregnant kid characters, love triangles and adult themes in freaking kid's videos! It's been a daily battle blocking these idiots from my kid's feed.

"Artists don't use AI" Yes they do. "No one likes art made with AI tools" Yes they do. "Real coders don't use AI" Yes they do. "People don't play games made with AI" Yes they do. "People who use AI can't draw" Yes they can. "AI uses all the water" No it doesn't. "AI will never be able to.." Yes it will. If you prefer AI models with attribution, awesome. If you enjoy handcrafted media, wonderful. Just say the true things. The copes aren't landing.

I feel like most of the AI hate comes from a lack of understanding of how AI tools actually work. You can't just say 'Make me a game' and boom you're ready to publish. There's a process, a learning curve. Just like there was when you learned Photoshop or your engine of choice.
AI art is STILL art. AI music is STILL music. AI film is STILL film. Y'all really think I just walk away after one click? 😂 Most of us don't just press a button. There's still a process. There's still a vision. There's still a human in between. Some of y'all missed the point entirely. Not everything is AI generated either when looking or reading it. Some of us were writing our own stuff before the internet even existed. AI-Assisted works still takes time. It takes edits. Revisions. Iterations. You act like we all just press a button and voilà. POOF! You have no damn idea. Some of y'all calling me a boomer? 💀 I was born in the 90s. I just know my history because I actually studied it. I'm a millennial. Almost Gen Z. Grew up on dial-up, AIM, and burning CDs for people I watched tech evolve in real time. I adapted every single time. What's ur excuse? I have 2 degrees in the arts. I play instruments. I've produced music from scratch. I've made digital art from scratch in Photoshop. I've edited in Premiere for years. 10 years of composition. Color theory. Storytelling. Sound design. I've done it the "real" way. Now I do it with AI too. It's just a new medium y'all failing to see it. I get to finished results quicker, that doesnt mean I'm not still taking photos, starting tunes from scratch, and editing something I've been on real movie sets. Got the receipts, videos, photos to prove it. To be honest I don't gotta prove anything. Most of y'all hiding your face on here anyway. Real brave behind that avi. Born and raised in Chicago. One of the most influential cities in the world for arts and culture. And if you know anything about Chicago other than it's culture, is that we don't back down and stand on business. Y'all scream about IP. More ethical models are coming out every day. But I don't see you saying a damn thing about that. As long as you're not stealing verbatim, what's the issue? Every artist has been inspired by something. Every musician has sampled something. Every filmmaker has referenced something. That's how art has always worked. Half of y'all hating on here have filters on every photo. That's AI too. Stay consistent with the nonsense. AI didn't replace my skills. It added to them. Die mad about it. The loudest critics have never made anything. Not a song. Not a film. Not a photo series. Nothing. The same people hating now will be using AI tools in 2 years. Bet on it. Pretending they never said a word. Keep that same energy when AI assisted works wins a Grammy or Oscar. I'll be waving from the stage. 🎬

I love AI. I spent my whole youth wishing I had a little robot friend who could teach me a bunch of stuff and help me out. Now it's real, and I'm not going to hate it just because you hate "tech bros" and you need something to whine about on social media.

I've been making games with Construct for 20 years. Back then people told me I shouldn't use a visual engine because that wasn't real gamedev. Now after making over 10 games and becomimg a fulltime gamedev, the same people are telling I shouldn't use AI 🤔

With the release of Nekopirate Quest for Gold! That's two games I've launched in less than 30 days. I worked on Quest for Gold and Ranch UFO side by side during the last 6 months. Kinda crazy looking back to when I used to spend 5 years on one game 😅
