I think people have misconceived the concept of “humans being replaced by AI in their job”. Think about it in this way. As a developer, in the past whenever you got stuck somewhere you would go to StackOverflow (manually curated human-generated questions and answers) or ask for help from your seniors (also humans). Now, You might go to popular and tuned models like ChatGPT to get the answers. I can barely remember the last time I searched for a code related problem on Google. I always go to ChatGPT, copy paste the code, and ask for help. “AI replacing humans” is the basic idea of reducing human interference in the work of other humans so that one can work with their full potential. ChatGPT has already replaced many indirect human efforts. A lot to come, think about it.
