Holy Saturday. The Day 'in-between'. It's not everyone's favourite doctrine, but the idea that Christ, 'the hound of hell' in death, 'descends to hell' in order to redeem people - including his friend Judas - is just so wonderfully... Christlike.

Thanks Broken Binding for the Dandelion Trilogy, as others have said they look great. Royal Mail have done you no favours with mine, however. This is how they were delivered this morning. The books looks ok inside, I'll give them a closer look this evening.

We are shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Sir David Amess MP. That he was attacked in a church (a Methodist church), makes the circumstances all the more distressing. We pray for Sir David's family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.

It is indeed a sad and serious missed opportunity Amanda @AMukwashi, and in so many ways also an 'own goal' given the state of the planet in so many respects. Bless you all at Christian Aid and keep up the good work as you are able.

The aid cut result is deeply disappointing. This was an opportunity to show real moral leadership. Instead, we have let the world’s poorest communities down. We @christian_aid will continue to stand with them.

My wife bought Barack Obama's 'A Promised Land' this morning in a supermarket for a friend. The till operator: "Never heard of him, is he a good author? What else has he written? Is he like John Grisham?" She decided not to bother! It's probably for the best.

Listen to the service @MCHW later today, 11am, commemorating this historic event. And when you 'get out' again (!!), go see the plaque on the building. The congregation moved out for 9 weeks to ensure this happened!
