I am incredibly pleased to announce I just signed my first book deal with @mitpress. A tweet about my experience as a Nuyorican navigating the corporate design world grew with the encouragement of @bobprior, @johnmaeda, and @kevinbethune. So much gratitude. Coming 2024!

The only thing constant is change. But with change, comes the opportunity for renewal.

Thanks for the laughs! @vikshulevich
Someone is about to get real real here.
Design Twitter: If someone called a brainstorm you conducted as “cute and adorable”- how would you take that?

Watching my 86-yr-old grandpa carry buckets of fuel to fill up the generator. Running to buy batteries for my dad’s fan bc it’s close to 90 degrees today. And relatives throwing out their groceries that have gone bad. This is life in PR now. And we’re some of the lucky ones.

I’m noticing many places with open applications for funding lead with the word “young” — clearly exclusive. It’s ironic when they also purport to fund social impact and minority run businesses. Is there space for “mature” entrepreneurs trying to do something ambitious?

Is anyone paying attention?! It’s crazy how acquisitions consume the feed and yet… PR and its people, our people, are suffering. Maybe more tech colonialists can buy up the sunny sands free of taxes displacing it’s residents so they can in turn “rescue them” — that shd do it.
Breaking News: Puerto Rico’s governor said that over 1,000 stranded residents had been rescued after Hurricane Fiona left the island with widespread flooding and continued heavy rains. Most of the island remains without power. nyti.ms/3dqQ1Dy

The irony of this being released when there is yet another full island blackout...
