I think (a lot) about the best ways to explain technology. Then I make courses that do that.

I was on the @devweeklyshow podcast recently, where I blether about teaching—various things to do, and not to do. developerweeklypodcast.com/4…

I was not expecting my biggest emotional reaction to #WWDC2020 would be to a new Apple TV series… but as a massive Asimov / Foundation fan, here we are!

I’ve sat through several WWDC keynotes in person, but I do prefer this recorded format—and I’ll take some slight cringe if I don’t have to sit through the forced woos, kludgy rounds of applause and bladder capacity endurance test.

I've been quiet here lately, but this one's worth Tweeting: @pluralsight is free in April. No strings attached. In the last few months I’ve released new courses on TypeScript, Cloud and AI. Watch ‘em! Or, y’know, any of the other 7000. plrsig.ht/Free_April #FreeApril!

Awful news. Scott was a wonderful, life-changing educator and a genuinely great person. He will be sorely missed.
Shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of @OdeToCode, one of @pluralsight’s most respected authors and closest friends since the very beginning. You will be missed Scott...by so many. heraldmailmedia.com/obituari…

James Williamson @jameswillweb — passed away today after a long fight with ALS. A superb educator—if you ever learned about the web/HTML/CSS on lynda.com, you learned from James—and a wonderful human being. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Glad to see this. As a company, @pluralsight 's mission is "democratize technology skills". We mean that. I was quiet about this fiasco yesterday, so let me be clear: I despise that kind of behavior and have NO time, NO patience, NO tolerance for it.
Here is my statement on a recent Twitter conversation involving a former Pluralsight author.

I have a new course out today—to mark the upcoming #Apollo50th — it's a little different from my usual content. Had a great time doing this one. And it's free—enjoy!
We’re excited to launch a free course in celebration of #Apollo50th. This is the story of the code that put humans on the Moon. plrsig.ht/moon

I have a new course out! It’s a short —but hopefully entertaining— intro to Machine Learning. app.pluralsight.com/library/…

There’s something strangely comforting about finishing a keynote and suddenly knowing (a) what my next computer will be, and (b) what will be keeping me busy for large swathes of the next six months.

The betas are now up: Xcode 11, Catalina, watchOS 6, iOS 13, iPadOS 13, Reality Composer, etc.- I’d say the usual “don’t install on your main device blah blah” but who are we kidding, IT’S DOWNLOADING TIME developer.apple.com/download…

The new Mac Pro looks amazing, as does the Pro Display. I’m not usually one for sticker shock, but I’ll admit to a couple of “HOW much?” moments there.

I didn't throw my hat into the ring for WWDC tickets this year, but still... it feels wrong not to be at the keynote. In solidarity, I'll put on some WWDC swag and only go to my restroom after standing outside it for 45 minutes. Have a good time, all y'all who're there.

A few days in London for the first Europe @pluralsight LIVE and Author Summit. Great crowd and conversations, I’ve talked more in three days than I usually do in a month. Though high point was double decker night bus to take authors to an after-hours meal at the Tate. #PSLIVE19
