I'm blown away by this EXCELLENT piece of @CNN reporting. This journalist @katie_polglase demonstrates how to conduct interviews with Epstein associates. She had this guy sweating, because she did her homework. Bravo. (Worth getting through the ad to watch.)...cnn.com/2026/06/11/world/vid…

🚨 AFRICA DELIVERS THE TALENT, THE WEST DELIVERS THE BARRIERS. 🇸🇳 Senegalese authorities have officially confirmed to AFP that ZERO official supporter delegations will travel to the 2026 World Cup due to widespread, blanket visa rejections by the host nations. Let the absolute absurdity of this sink in: Senegal’s Ministry of Sports stepped in with full state financial coverage just to secure visas for the presidents of the main supporters' associations. THEY WERE DENIED. This is the true face of the Western "rules-based order": • They happily market African football stars to sell tickets, merchandise, and TV rights. • They lecture the Global South on "unity," "fair play," and global cooperation. • Yet, they slam the visa door firmly shut on the very people whose passion and energy make the beautiful game electric. They want our talent, but they build walls against our people. The sportswashing project cannot hide this blatant hypocrisy. The world is changing, and the Global South will no longer beg for entry into an empire that treats our citizens with systemic contempt.

Slavery was so long ago and we’re supposed to be over it until you want to have an image of the resistance of enslaved people, then it’s too political. They will never forgive Haiti for winning their freedom. They made Haiti pay France reparations for 150 years and still salty.
🚨JUST IN: FIFA has rejected Haiti’s World Cup jersey, saying it was too “political” The specific image or design in the men’s jerseys that prompted FIFA’s objections remains unclear

What has happened at the #2026WorldCup over the last 48 hours: • Swiss footballer Embolo's visa was put under review and he was only able to join his team days later. • Iraqi national team player Aymen Hussein was held for questioning for nearly 7 hours upon entering the United States. • The Iranian national team spent days dealing with visa procedures at the U.S. Consulate in Türkiye. The U.S. only allowed them entry on match days. Fifteen members of the delegation were denied visas. • Omar Abdulkadir Artan, named CAF's Best African Referee of 2025, was denied a visa. Despite travelling to the U.S. with a diplomatic passport, he was refused entry and sent back. FIFA announced that he will not be able to officiate at the tournament. • The South African national team arrived in the United States much later than planned because part of the delegation was not granted visas. • Members of the Senegal national team staff were forced to remove their shoes and subjected to lengthy searches, sparking accusations of racism. • The Uzbekistan national team was searched with bomb-sniffing dogs and the footage went viral in international media. • Some Scottish supporters, despite being eligible to enter the U.S. visa-free under the ESTA programme, had their travel authorisations revoked just days before departure. • Many supporters who had already bought tickets and booked accommodation had their visa applications rejected, resulting in financial losses.

BREAKING: Scott Pelley Just Made A Pretty Stunning Allegation. According to Pelley, CBS leadership wanted a story about the killing of ICE protester Renée Good changed to better match Trump's version of events. Pelley says he was told management wanted protesters portrayed as more violent and wanted Good described as driving toward the officer who shot her. He says the video evidence showed otherwise. Then came the admission. "There was a thumb on the scale for the president's version of events." A veteran journalist with 37 years at CBS is alleging political pressure was applied to change the facts of a story. That's a remarkable accusation.

The Senegalese 🇸🇳 delegation gets this treatment on arrival in the USA. Full tarmac searches, shoes off, bags turned inside out like criminals. This is straight up humiliation and a disgrace. They’d never put white boys through the same.

Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write. This is the article: volkskrant.nl/kijkverder/v/2…

🚨BREAKING: Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza and halted the entry of humanitarian aid following Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Israel, cutting off supplies to roughly 2 million Palestinians in the territory. Israel has imposed similar blanket closures during previous periods of regional escalation, including immediately after the outbreak of war in late February, collectively punishing Gaza’s civilian population.
Following the missile attacks launched by Iran against the State of Israel, a number of necessary security measures have been implemented, including the closure of the crossings into the Gaza Strip, among them the Kerem Shalom Crossing and the Rafah Crossing, until further notice. It should be emphasized that the closure of the crossings will not affect the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. The substantial quantities of food that have entered the Strip since the beginning of the ceasefire significantly exceed the nutritional needs of the population, according to UN methodologies. COGAT will continue to maintain ongoing contact with the international community and will provide updates on any developments in accordance with the security situation assessment.
