This thread perfectly represents the human side of #researchsofteng for me. The thing I'm proudest of in my career so far is helping to create a home for RSEs like @mattasdata in fusion and beyond, and seeing them paying it forward with such talent and energy #RSE10Years
I'm excited to join celebrations of #RSE10Years! ๐ŸŽ‰๏ธ What does the Research Software Engineering #RSEng movement mean to me? In a sentence, it has helped me find a career after I had given up on an academic one. It is hard to overstate just how important that was.

In 2022 we have > 30 RSE groups in the UK, and many more internationally. Regional RSE networks are forming & gaining strength. There are over 3000 people on the RSE slack channel & 550 members of the RSE Society. ๐ŸŽ‰RSECon22 will be in Newcastle in Sept!! #RSE10Years
