On two occasions on the 18th and 19th of September you broke into chicken sheds at the farm. “You penetrated the anus of a number of chickens and ejaculated. As I understanded it at least 15 died as a result of your sordid sexual activity. “Those who kept the chickens are understandably horrified and appalled by what you have done. “When the police attended to arrest you, your dog was examined. Your semen was found in the vagina. You would go on to accept intercourse with your dog took place on 5-6 occasions over previous months." He was sentenced in 2020. She struck a reef off Abaco, in the Bahamas. British ground. Bahamian boatmen rowed out through the surf, free Black men who worked these reefs for a living, and carried all 38 safe to Nassau. Britain had abolished slavery 6 years before. The captain refused to let them ashore. He called for another ship to carry them back to bondage. Then British magistrates came aboard, armed men at their backs. No fleet. No proclamation. A local court doing its ordinary work. In Virginia, paper made those 38 people property. On British ground, no paper on Earth could. One by one, 38 people stepped ashore at Nassau. Free. The owners demanded them back for years. They never got them. Nobody famous freed those 38. That's utterly scary. I trained as a nurse before medicine. I wanted to practice medicine, so I went to medical school. Nursing, at *any* level, is not medicine. I cannot be clear enough about this. Nursing is a profession in its own right. Qualification in one discipline doesn't transfer to another. No matter how much people might want it to. The children's mini zoo where animals died in a fire did not have a proper licence, a local council has revealed - as a baby tortoise was discovered alive in the aftermath. Meerkats, owls, iguanas, a 16ft snake and genets all perished in the tragedy at The Jungle Box, a soft play centre which housed the animals in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. But fire crews announced today that a baby tortoise was the sole survivor of the blaze at the Watermill Industrial Estate, despite earlier fears that all the animals were dead. Separately, East Herts Council said the owners had no licence to keep the animals on site – and officials wrote to them just days ago requesting that they applied for one. The Jungle Box had recently unveiled an exotic pets area at the centre which is a jungle-themed play centre with slides and tunnels. But the council revealed it was not properly licensed. A spokesperson said today: 'We had recently been made aware that The Jungle Box were keeping animals on site. 'We had written to them at the beginning of June to inform them of the need to apply for a licence. At this stage we have not received a response from them.' I think I have to stop fighting for things to be right in the NHS. The govt and NHSE want it to be staffed by people who aren’t qualified enough to see patients. They want to send patients away from UTCs without seeing a human. They want digital remote access over human access. I am so tired of fighting this - time to just stop.
