Jesse Marsch issues a message to U.S. President Donald Trump 🎙️ "Lay off the ridiculous rhetoric about Canada being the 51st state; as an American, I'm ashamed of the arrogance and disregard we've shown one of our historically oldest, strongest and most loyal allies." #USMNT | #CanMNT

Teaching right now is so hard. I hope as a principal I can make it a little easier. I hope I can protect my teachers from needless distractions. But most of all, I want my teachers to know that I trust them with my whole heart.

I'd love to celebrate with you today (as I'm over here crying just a little bit) - if you've got a copy, share a photo of the book on social media with the #FeelingSeen, and tell me where you are reading from! One of you amazing souls will win two tickets to the Book Tour!

I have no other words except this is not the Canadian way. Let’s all take a deep breathe and hug our families a little tighter and be grateful for what we have accomplished. We will get through this. #BetterTogether

Although today is the official start of Black History Month, it does not and should not start and stop in the month of February. Students should see themselves reflected in the curriculum all year long. This should be the goal.

The Minister of Ed has been busy tweeting that teens are now eligible to book for a second #vaccination, saying it's "part of our plan" for a #SafeSeptember. But still no news or updates on safety measures for #onted elementary. Parents and educators need to know! #onpoli

81 members of the Conservative Party voted in favour of anti-choice legislation today. It is completely unacceptable that they will not support, protect, or defend a woman’s right to choose. Our government always has - and always will.
Women - and women alone - control their bodies and their healthcare choices. Unacceptably, in 2021, Conservatives continue to bring forward anti-choice bills. I’m calling on Erin O’Toole to show leadership by asking his caucus not to support this bill.

Colleagues please feel comfortable talking to students about this. We may not know answers but we can at least expose some of the truths. Education is key to understanding and this part of history has been left out of lessons far too long.

Update: We’ve signed an agreement with Pfizer for an additional 8 million doses of their COVID-19 vaccine. This means we’ll receive 4 million additional doses in May, another 2 million in June, and 2 million more in July - and that means more people can get their vaccine faster.
