⚓️🌊Spotted! The French vessels 🇫🇷 the POM Teriieroo a Teriierooiterai (P780) and the Tranape (P782), the BSAOM Bougainville (A622), and the Cook ship MSU Te Kukupa II 🇨🇰 left Papeete harbour yesterday morning for #MARARA26. The FS Prairial (F731) 🇫🇷 also sailed the day before.

After facing difficulties, it departed from Kaohsiung port on Monday where it conducted its latest round of sea trials. If the tests are successful, the delivery could take place between July and September.

Taiwan’s indigenous submarine Hai Kun (Narwhal) conducted its 15th sea trial on June 1, including its 9th submerged-navigation test. According to CNA, upcoming evaluations will include seaworthiness and deep-diving trials, among the most significant remaining milestones before delivery to the ROC Navy.
Shipbuilder CSBC previously indicated it hopes to deliver Hai Kun in June, though military experts cited by CNA assess successful completion of the remaining tests could place delivery between July and September.

🇨🇦⚓️Canadian frigate HMCS Charlottetown (FFH 339) transited by #TaiwanStrait 🇹🇼. The last time it was a 🇨🇦 destroyer HMCS Ville de Québec (FFH 332) the 5th of sept, 2025.
🇨🇦 is usually passing twice a year in the 🇹🇼 strait. Will they do it again in 2026 ?
NEW: According to The Globe and Mail, the Canadian Halifax-class frigate HMCS Charlottetown (FFH 339) transited the Taiwan Strait from May 22–23.
This marks Canada’s first reported Taiwan Strait transit of 2026, following the most recent transit of HMCS Ville de Quebec (FFH 332) in September 2025.
