scheerpost.com/2026/06/12/ai… “In contrast, under Project Hamilton a public digital-dollar system was built, tested and proved that could have blocked surveillance, protected privacy, and given Americans a cash-like digital option. Developed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and MIT’s Digital Currency Initiative, Project Hamilton was a working prototype. Phase 1 delivered something no private payment network has ever offered: 1.7 million transactions per second, with settlement in under a second, no personal data stored on the ledger, no transaction history, no account numbers, and no surveillance architecture.”

Dear all companies sending me surveys: my willingness to recommend your product (nearly 0) is disconnected from how much I like your product. (ranges from 0 to 10) Please do not convolve them.

Why do people say, “if and when”? If “when” is added as a required option then there can be no “if”. Makes no sense.

I have a similar problem with “up and to the right”. “Up” I get but time moves inexorably to the right. There is no other option than “to the right” - the only variable in that equation is “up”! Why add an invariant as a qualifier?

My take on Bitcoin and quantum computing: nehanarula.org/2026/04/03/bi… tl;dr: I think the risk is high enough to warrant prioritizing designing, implementing, and evaluating post-quantum signature schemes and consensus upgrades in Bitcoin now.

Got tired of using bcrelay and related broadcast relay userland daemons to make things play nicely across subnets so I wrote a more modern and versatile implementation github.com/anders94/bcr

"The fact that our internet is still run on advertising is kind of nuts. We think it can be run on money, on real value, as long as you make it fast and cheap enough." @RkBench, Founder at @radiustech_xyz "We're charging a hundredth of a penny. We know we can go lower."
