Next time any Department of Education documentation references student wellbeing - this! A huge part of exams could be done by now - leaving Easter for rest and, if the students have the wherewithal, a little bit of revision. Some waiting until next Thursday. Change needed

We were lucky to have Christina from @ALGoodbody come to SMI last week as part of our first year @JA_Irl Futurewize Programme. Over the course of the programme they have worked as aerospace engineers, forensic scientists, nutritionists and sustainability consultants. @scienceirel

We were very lucky to have John from @Microsoftirl come to SMI yesterday as part of our first year @JA_Irl Futurewize Programme. Students worked like Aerospace Engineers to design and launch rockets. They are already looking forward to the next session. @scienceirel @JCTSteAm

Used this today with my first years after their heart dissection, all students participated in a walk through commentary, a labeled diagram of the heart on the big screen gave a safety net to the students who otherwise would be reluctant to participate! Thanks @growgardeners #bw4

I havenโt taught the heart through masking tape diagrams in ages. A really fun activity. Useful to be able to step through the heart to show the direction of blood flow.
