Who do I know who is interested in both psychotherapy research and reproducibility, and has some time to talk?

This is every meta analysis even remotely related to my work
I haven’t personally figured out how to use mastodon yet, but there’s a new profile pic of me there, which I think is responsible for a major upsurge in people moving over there

Psychometrics/sexuality question. An established measure asks if you feel nervous talking to "attractive people of the opposite sex." Obviously heteronormative. Can I just change this to "attractive people" and we all agree it's better, please?

It is frustrating that this seems to be a well-known problem with a lot of social anxiety measures, but the heteronormative questions are so much more widely available than the alternatives

I'm glad the PNAS paper exists, I think it only does good -economists learn about subjective rating scales -more of them get interested in them -more use of this tool in their science -some will rediscover existing methods -more people developing new methods

I love it when I see a study that basically says "people who are less certain about things are right more often" because, it's like, yes and no?

A while ago on Twitter I saw someone's list of statistical methods that are now seen as problematic despite their commonality (e.g., backwards stepwise regression, MANOVA) with specific citations for each. Anyone know what I mean? Have the link?

One thing that’s nice about flying to the east coast from Denver is that you start a mile high so the plane can just coast the whole time and you don’t have to hear those loud jet engines

We are going to miss one of the best writers in the area today, but we will try to keep her influence present
