Let's celebrate a WIN this Wednesday by looking back on the first-ever Queen City Spay/Neuter Collaborative Clinic! Three local animal welfare organizations joined forces this past weekend to provide free spay and neuter surgeries to community pets. Our very own Animal Care & Control (@animals_clt) team partnered with @humanecharlotte and @sfavetclinic to provide a total of 148 free surgeries in two days. In 2024, ACC took in 6,134 stray cats and dogs. 81% were unaltered, meaning they could reproduce and contribute to the growing number of homeless pets in our county. Spaying and neutering remain the most effective, foolproof solutions for preventing pet overpopulation. Learn more at cltgov.me/ACCSpayNeuter.
