Again an attempt to use magnetism to investigate rock. The effect is clear, but not distinctive (enough). Then a unexpected effects of water and brine were observed (the rocks were fry and had a high resistance).

To be able to perform diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) on rocks, a good light source is key. It turned out that things had changed a lot over the past decades.
