we won! shout out to @ao_devbot and @aoComputerClub for the challenge shipped "The Grind Streak" in one night, despite all the obstacles the grind is really paying off :)
started this at 9pm last night and it was my first time exploring @ao_devbot today it's live, here's what I built ⤵️ most of us set goals every day and end up doing half of them not because we're lazy, but because there's no motivation, no accountability, or we just forget. so I built "The Grind Streak" a habit tracker that covers your whole life - your hustle, your spiritual life, your body, your mind, your money, your relationships. you set your daily habits, complete them, and your streak grows. the longer your streak, the bigger the fire gets there's also a public Wall of Grind leaderboard so everyone can see where you're at, that alone will make you not want to break your streak and if you do slip up and comeback? you get a token for that too, because getting back up is part of the grind. I built this for myself first because I'm pitching to founders daily, trying to read my Bible, stay consistent with my workouts, all at the same time. I needed something that tracked all of it in one place. but the build wasn't smooth at all - failed deployments, VPN issues, "failed to fetch" errors I didn't even understand but I shipped anyway, that's the whole point of the app. 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: this is a V1 prototype, it runs in local mode right now which means your streak saves on your current browser/device. working on the full on-chain version with persistent streaks across devices. watch the demo and test it out with the link in comments:

Gaming's Next Frontier: AO The gaming industry has been searching for its "Web3" moment. But most blockchain games feel like regular games with tokens bolted on. @aoTheComputer changes the entire paradigm. Imagine games that actually live on for centuries. Not because a company maintains servers, but because the game itself exists as autonomous processes on a permanent network. cc @StarGridBattle shows us what's possible - a turn-based strategy game where every element lives onchain. The rules, mechanics, and gameplay continue functioning exactly as designed, regardless of whether the original team remains involved. It's existential transformation for gaming: True ownership becomes possible when games can't be shut down 1⃣Creator economies flourish when game assets have permanent homes 2⃣Game worlds evolve organically without corporate gatekeepers 3⃣Communities gain unprecedented agency over their favorite experiences The most exciting part? We're just scratching the surface. As developers explore AO's actor model and permanent storage, we'll see entirely new game mechanics emerge that weren't possible before. The next Minecraft or Roblox won't just be built with better graphics, it will be built with better foundations. And those foundations are being laid right now on AO Computer. No investment or financial advice here! Always DYOR, friend!

The internet gave us information. Blockchain gave us ownership. @aoTheComputer gives us autonomous computation that never stops running. This isn't incremental progress. It's a fundamental shift in how we build digital systems.

What makes this a big deal? Permanence. When code, data, and computation all exist on an immutable foundation, we can build systems that outlive their creators. Digital entities that actually persist.

Arweave & AO native onchain games like StarGrid can continue functioning on their own, with the gameplay preserved for posterity. This is possible all on @aoTheComputer. It doesn't need to be a DAO with humans pulling the strings, it can be run by code fully.

The Holographic State of AO: A Thought Experiment I've been thinking a lot about this concept of "holographic state" in @aoTheComputer lately. It's one of those ideas that seems counterintuitive at first, but then reveals itself to be quite elegant. Imagine a traditional computer system. When you save a document, that document exists in a specific place on your hard drive, in a database, somewhere concrete. But AO doesn't work that way at all. In AO, there is no "place" where the state of an application lives. Instead, every interaction, every message sent to a process, is permanently recorded on Arweave. The current state is simply what emerges when you replay all those messages in sequence. It reminds me of how physicists describe certain quantum phenomena. The information isn't stored in any single location but is distributed throughout the system. The state exists as a pattern of interactions rather than as data in storage. This approach solves several problems at once. 1) There's no central database to corrupt. 2) There's no single point of failure. 3) The entire history is immutable and transparent. 4) And perhaps most importantly, processes can run in true parallel across the network without coordination overhead. I keep coming back to this idea that in AO, the past isn't just a record of what happened, it's the very substance from which the present is continuously reconstructed. Every time you query a process, you're essentially watching its entire history unfold in fast forward until you arrive at the current moment. It's a profound shift in how we think about computation. Not as manipulating data that exists somewhere, but as projecting meaning from a permanent record of interactions. The state is both everywhere and nowhere, h o l o g r a p h i c. What fascinates me most is how this approach might change how we build systems. When the entire history is always available and immutable, you design differently. You think in terms of messages and transformations rather than updates and mutations. I wonder if this is how our own consciousness works in some way, not as a database of memories, but as a continuous reconstruction from traces of past experience. Perhaps AO isn't just a new computing paradigm, but a mirror reflecting something fundamental about information itself. @samecwilliams, @rakis_me, and the technical team behind this tech are next level.

.@ethereum devs. We think you'll love AO. AO uses independent processes that run in parallel. This means internet scale throughput w/out the usual bottlenecks. Plus, you can select "insurance" or security based on your needs. Bonus, you can bridge your $ETH assets super easily. You can already bring stETH, DAI, and USDS into the AO ecosystem at https://ao.arweave(.)net under the "MINT" tab. AO integrates directly with HTTP, making it feel like a natural extension of the web rather than a separate ecosystem you need to learn from scratch. Real projects are already thriving: @apus_network (GPU compute), @StarGridBattle (gaming), @useload (evm storage), @OurBazAR (marketplaces), and more. The $AO token will eventually power all compute costs, right now computation is largely supported, ideal timing to experiment. Best part? Everything you build is permanent thanks to Arweave's storage layer. No more worrying about data availability or state expiry. Clear the mind and build. We think you'll appreciate what you find.

The craziest thing about AO is its radical departure from traditional blockchain architecture. Unlike platforms like Ethereum that require global consensus for every operation, AO processes run independently and in parallel, communicating through message passing. This means @aoTheComputer can scale massively without the bottlenecks that plague other systems.

Another wild aspect is how AO integrates directly with HTTP as a native extension of the web, making it feel like a natural evolution of internet architecture rather than a separate system.

The token economics are also fascinating. $AO has a total supply of 21 million tokens (like Bitcoin), but with a smooth emission schedule that releases tokens every 5 minutes at a monthly rate of 1.425% of remaining supply. This creates a gradual 4-year halving cycle without abrupt events.
