AO mainnet is now live. This is a huge step towards the kind of internet we in the @ArweaveEco have been building towards. I am immensely grateful to the incredible builders and our amazing community who worked so hard to make this happen. While this is a major milestone, we also know this is just the beginning. My motivation for building AO comes from the same place as Arweave: I believe our online lives should come with guaranteed, immutable rights. Just as constitutions guarantee our rights in physical space. As we spend more and more time online, it's essential to ensure the rights we cherish are not lost. Arweave laid the groundwork by providing permanent, decentralized, and uncensorable data storage. With AO, we're building on that foundation, adding a decentralized, open-access supercomputer directly connected to the internet. This enables confidential, decentralized computation and helps us shift away from the centralized control of Web2, opening up access to information and opportunity for more people. This launch marks a new chapter, and I'm so excited to share it with you all. To the future.
