Korolev, the main person behind the Soviet space program, worked half of his life from a prison, where the government used torture instead of wealth to reinforce his engineering curiosity and scientific longing. He died because a first responder couldn’t intubate him - his jaw was healed incorrectly after many fractures from bearings and blocked the tube. I see that the left would gladly live in the world where Elon is launching rockets with a broken jaw instead of a trillion dollar stock.

Can confirm we saw a strong spike in growth of token consumption for Codex over last 48 hours. Unusual when we don't launch something.
Usage share of OpenAI grew vs Anthropic yesterday despite Mythos 5 / Fable 5 launch Multiple power users at SemiAnalysis tried Mythos / Fable Got refusals for nonsensical reasons Got pissed off at Anthropic Gave Codex a legitimate try Now they actually prefer it to 4.8 Opus

In the latest Codex Mobile update, the composer now displays plugins and skills inline, just like the desktop app! So you can chain them and write your prompts more naturally.

I was recently diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis. It's a "disease of chaos" that completely upturned my life for a couple months. I wrote a blog about it that goes into more detail and discusses prognosis. burntsushi.net/encephalitis/

It’s funny how you can see the company-wide off week, and then I stop taking weekends off. :(

I’ve been watching this technology grow and develop from literally before the very first idea. And I am more and more amazed every day, not less. Codex is almost a family member now.

It’s like Android vs iPhone 15 years ago. Did you see how many cores and RAM low-end Android phones have compared to that iPhone? For $700 I can buy 3 phones instead of iPhone! Only fool can spend this much on iPhone! Blahblahbla

Jordi blackpilling on the new Ferrari EV: "It's basically proving that Ferrari will never be competitive in EVs. It's completely over." "If they had been able to come in at the low $300s with this, we would have been seeing these all over LA." "It's the most confusing release from a major automotive manufacturer that I can ever remember." "Am I crazy? This costs more than the Purosangue, 12Cilindri, and Testarossa... How do you justify the price? It makes no sense." "The gap between what you can get in range and performance from Tesla and BYD, in the $50k-$60k range — it's a 10x price difference compared to the Luce. That gap is just way too wide."

Anthropic has to add a bunch of features because their public models haven’t improved since December Codex has gotten 10x better since and it’s largely the models. Also - Codex is far ahead on a lot of “end to end” stuff. Computer use, goals, remote control, all the things that actually make me more productive. Claude Code has better features to tweet about. Codex is quietly becoming the best solution for actually writing software.

For complicated agent work, it's amazing how much GPT5.5 has improved. I found 5.2 to be very far behind Opus. Now using Opus 4.7 after 5.5 feels like a big step backwards. Gotta love this level of competion! Strong comeback for OpenAI.

Codex anywhere and everywhere, all the time. Now your Mac doesn’t have to be unlocked for Codex to use your computer. From your phone, Codex can securely use apps on your Mac, even when the screen is off and locked. developers.openai.com/codex/…
