Previously, we explored what a Network State imagined for women activists might look like.
But a Network State doesn't always have to be something dramatic.
Doesn’t always have to concern itself with solving a problem.
Sometimes, it can be as simple as a group of people coming together around a shared interest; a creative.
Such as writers.
What if writers across the world formed a digital nation of their own?
Poets, journalists, novelists, researchers, scriptwriters, bloggers, and storytellers of every kind.
A place where people exchange ideas, review each other's work, collaborate on projects, and help bring great stories into the world.
There could be shared libraries, collaborative publishing platforms, mentorship programs, writing residencies, and even community-funded grants for aspiring authors.
Instead of competing for limited opportunities, members could help one another edit, publish, translate, and distribute their work.
Maybe the public square is one giant library.
Maybe citizens earn reputation by contributing knowledge.
Maybe, the economy is built around knowledge, stories, and intellectual contributions rather than traditional industries.
A country built not on land, but on imagination.
What would a Network State for writers look like to you?
